Kaiserslautern, Germany, September 14^th, 2026 – ThinkParQ, the company behind the parallel file system BeeGFS, and Huawei today announced a strategic cooperation combining BeeGFS with Huawei’s OceanDisk 1610 smart disk enclosure to deliver a converged HPC/AI storage solution.

The partnership enables BeeGFS to run natively on the OceanDisk 1610, creating a scale-out storage platform built for the throughput and concurrency demands of HPC and AI workloads.

The result is a storage platform that’s fast to deploy and simple to run, suited to scientific computing, engineering simulation, life sciences, and AI training. ThinkParQ and Huawei continue building on the partnership, extending the integration to more of BeeGFS’s ecosystem partners as adoption grows.
